The Human Resources Sectorial Committee of the Maritime Industry is very pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Manou Bernard as the new Executive Director. She succeeds Claude Mailloux who will retire in the coming days after having held this position for fifteen years.

Ms. Bernard is a graduate of the Institut maritime du Québec en navigation. She has several years of maritime experience acquired as a navigation officer, crew and operations manager and manager of a training department and maritime expertise for seagoing personnel at Groupe Océan. In addition, she benefits from a very good knowledge of maritime workforce issues and organizational issues because she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Sectoral Committee since June 2017.

Ms. Bernard will take office on January 5, 2021.

The mission of the Human Resources Sectorial Committee of the Maritime Industry is to support all organizations in the maritime transport sector, at sea and on land, particularly in terms of analyzing manpower needs and issues, work skills development, human resources management and career promotion.
