The Canadian Regulations for Officers training course is intended for holders of foreign navigation or marine mechanical engineering licenses who wish to have their certification recognized by Transport Canada, as well as for officers seeking a higher-level certificate and/or wishing to update their knowledge of Canadian maritime regulations.

GOALS

Enhance the specific skills of the immigrant workforce to promote a better understanding and application of Canada's laws and regulations governing the maritime sector
Help attract immigrant workers to Canada amid a challenging recruitment environment and labor shortages
Provide shipoperators with a tool to support workers as they learn the Canadian maritime regulations

TARGET AUDIENCES

Shipoperators wishing to provide their crews with a tool for learning about maritime laws and regulations applicable in Canada
Holders of foreign navigation or marine mechanical engineering licenses seeking recognition of their certification by Transport Canada
Officers seeking a higher-level certificate and/or wishing to update their knowledge of Canadian maritime regulations.
